1. What the planner is
Cutting Board Planner (“the planner”) is a free design aid provided by Noel Beharry (“we”, “us”). It helps you visualise cutting-board designs and produces estimated cut lists, material quantities, weights and build instructions. Renderings are approximations: real wood varies in colour, figure, grain and behaviour, and screens show colours differently.
2. No warranty
The planner and everything it produces — designs, measurements, cut lists, material estimates, diagrams and instructions — are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Outputs may contain errors.
3. We are not responsible for how your board turns out
Woodworking results depend on your materials, tools, skills and choices. We are not responsible for boards that don’t turn out as planned, including boards that crack, warp, split, separate at glue joints, come out the wrong size, look different from the preview or fail in use, nor for wasted or damaged materials, tools or time.
Always check every measurement and quantity yourself before cutting, make test cuts, and buy extra material.
4. Safety is your responsibility
Woodworking machinery and hand tools can cause serious injury. The planner’s instructions are general guidance, not professional or safety advice. You are solely responsible for working safely: follow your tools’ manuals, use guards, push sticks and appropriate protective equipment, and never attempt an operation you’re not trained or equipped to perform safely. Some operations described (such as angled rips of small pieces) are hazardous — use jigs and sleds, and seek qualified instruction if in doubt.
5. Food safety, materials and allergies
Wood notes in the planner are general information only. You are responsible for choosing species, glues and finishes that are suitable for food contact, and for checking current guidance. Some woods and their dust can cause allergic reactions or irritation; some are unsuitable for food use. Use dust collection and a respirator, and consult a medical professional about sensitivities.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Noel Beharry will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages — including personal injury, property damage, lost materials, lost profits or lost data — arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the planner or anything it produces, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations; in those places our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted.
7. Your responsibilities
You agree to use the planner lawfully and at your own risk, and you agree to hold Noel Beharry harmless from claims arising from boards you make, sell or give away, and from your use of the planner.
8. Copyright and your designs
The planner — its code, interface, text, catalog templates, wood renderings and diagrams — is © 2026 Noel Beharry. All rights reserved. You may not copy, republish or redistribute the planner itself without permission.
Your designs are yours. You’re free to build, give away and sell boards you design with the planner, including boards based on catalog templates, and to share images and plans of your own designs.
9. Privacy
We don’t require an account and don’t collect personal information. Designs are stored in your browser’s local storage, in files you save, or in links you choose to share — anyone with a share link can see that design. The planner loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address under Google’s own privacy policy. Your hosting provider may also keep standard server logs.
10. Third-party links
Links to other sites (such as support or donation platforms) are provided for convenience. We aren’t responsible for their content, terms or privacy practices.
11. Changes
We may update the planner or these terms at any time. The date at the top shows the latest version; continuing to use the planner means you accept the updated terms.
